Ruth Langsford has shared snaps of her new makeover, as she headed to the salon days after confirming her marriage to Eamonn Holmes was over.

The Loose Women star, 64, and GB News presenter Eamonn, also 64, confirmed they are in the process of divorcing late last month, with reports stating  work commitments had resulted in the TV duo drifting in ‘different directions’, but they were determined to ‘keep things amicable’.

Since then, they’ve said little about their split, though he’s returned to his presenting role and thanked fans for support, while Ruth has shared updates to social media.

And the This Morning star has now shared pics of her pamper day, after having her hair done.

Ruth posted pictures in the salon on her Instagram stories, before thanking her hairdresser for her new look, as she snapped a glam selfie.

This comes after claims Ruth is remaining off our screens for a while longer, with a source telling The Sun: ‘Ruth will not be back on screen this week.

‘She has decided to extend her break from ITV so will not yet be making a return to the Loose Women panel.’

An insider had previously told the publication that Ruth and Eamonn are still in contact, saying: ‘Eamonn and Ruth are still in contact, they speak every day. Although they’ve separated, they’re still sharing their dog, Maggie, at the moment and of course they have their son, Jack.’

She’s also been seen wearing her wedding ring as well as what appears to be an eternity band, with an expert telling Metro.co.uk what this could mean.

Louella Alderson, co-founder of dating app So Syncd, explained to Metro.co.uk: ‘Ruth and Eamonn’s relationship span over two decades. While some may view wearing an eternity ring after divorce as unusual or confusing, it can hold deep personal significance for the individual.

‘An eternity ring is traditionally given as a token of everlasting love and commitment in a relationship. It usually consists of a continuous band of diamonds or other precious stones, representing an unbreakable bond between two people.

‘This type of jewellery holds significant sentimental value and is often worn as a symbol of the enduring love shared between a couple.

‘Removing her ring may feel like an erasure of memories and a sense of complete finality to the relationship.

‘Even though their divorce is confirmed, she may not want to let go of a relationship that has been a significant part of her life for so long.

‘It doesn’t mean that she is necessarily still holding on to hope for reconciliation, but rather it can be seen as a way of her honouring and cherishing her former marriage and bond.

‘It could also serve as a reminder of the lessons learned from the relationship and the growth that came from it. Wearing her eternity ring could simply be Ruth’s way of keeping a piece of their history with her, even as she moves forward into a new chapter of her life.’

Louella added: ‘Ruth could also just be used to wearing the ring and feels physically uncomfortable without it. It has become a part of her daily routine and removing it may not be symbolic of her marriage but simply a habit.’
