Sabine Wren & Shin Hati Clash In Incredible Star Wars Cosplay Battle

A group of dedicated Ahsoka fans have created one of the greatest Star Wars cosplays in recent memory, bringing Sabine Wren and Shin Hati to life with outstanding detail. Originally an animated character in Star Wars Rebels, Sabine made her live-action debut in Ahsoka season 1, played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo. Alongside animated characters adapted into live-action, Ahsoka introduced several new faces to the franchise, with Ivanna Sakhno’s Shin Hati becoming a new standout villain.

@camitoast shared a breathtaking cosplay of Sabine and Shin locked in a fierce lightsaber duel, which is so well-shot that it looks like it came straight out of the show.

The page features a few other Sabine/Shin cosplays that show both models up close, but the distance used in this particular shot makes them nearly identical to the Ahsoka actors.

Sabine & Shin’s Rivalry Was A Highlight Of Ahsoka

Not only do Sabine and Shin have several exciting lightsaber duels throughout Ahsoka season 1, but they also serve as perfect foils. Both characters are young Padawans, but while Shin is in sync with her master, Baylan Skoll, Sabine and Ahsoka Tano have yet to resolve their past differences. Sabine was also less powerful than Shin, giving her room to grow as she learned to connect with the Force. Now that Sabine can use the Force, their next duel is sure to have the two on more equal footing and push both characters to their limit.

  A Mandalorian rebel, Sabine is a technological genius whose ideas were turned against her own people by the Empire. She served as an important member of the Lothal cell for years, only to return to her own people for a time with the knowledge and skills she had cultivated. More recently, Sabine has unlocked her nascent ability to access the Force, becoming Ahsoka Tano’s Padawan.

  The mysterious Shin Hati was recruited by Baylan Skoll as a Dark Jedi Padawan. Like her master, Shin operated within the shadows until the Mandalorian era, when the duo took on a job for Morgan Elsbeth – one that took them to the distant planet Peridea. Shin is now stranded on Peridea as is the woman who has become her rival, Sabine Wren.

However, the ending of season 1 hints that Sabine and Shin may become allies in Ahsoka season 2. When Shin’s forces were defeated by Sabine and Ezra Bridger, Ahsoka offered to help her, but Shin chose to run away. Now that she and her master have parted ways, perhaps Shin’s journey will lead to her redemption and season 2, causing her and Sabine to put aside their rivalry. This would be a powerful change after Shin nearly killed her in Ahsoka season 1, but it would be a fascinating development as the heroes face whatever darkness is stirring on Peridea.
