Babu, a Telugu actor, made his cinematic debut in 1973 with the film Rama Rajyam. His debut film, Pattina Pravesam (1977), was directed by K. Balachander. Balachander’s 1978 Tamil film Nizhal Nijamagiradhu launched Babu to popularity. Mullum Malarum (1978), his debut film with Rajinikanth, is currently recognized as a classic in Tamil cinema. Senthazham Poovil, a song from the movie, makes his supporting role a subject of discussion throughout Tamil Nadu.
Babu’s subsequent appearances in Rajinikanth films Annamalai (1992) and Muthu (1995) solidified his status as a dependable supporting actor. His performance in those films significantly impacted his on-screen connection with Rajinikanth. Babu’s most recent film appearance was in Vasantha Mullai in 2023. After their makers’ demise, films such as Malli Pelli and Por Thozhil will be released.
Cause of Death
Babu was diagnosed with sepsis in April 2023. He died the following day from multiple organ failure after being admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad, Telangana, on a ventilator on May 22, 2023. He was 71. Sarath Babu’s funeral was held in Chennai.

Sathyam Babu Dixithulu, afterward called Sarath Babu, was born on July 31, 1951. During the 1980s, he was romantically linked with Telugu actress Rama Prabha, with whom he shared a house. After years of cohabitation, Rama and Babu divorced in 1988. In Chennai, Rama accused Babu of defrauding her and taking her belongings.
Babu denied the claims and admitted to being in a relationship with Rama, but he said he did not intend to acquire the property of others unlawfully. When they first began dating, even Babu confessed that he was too young for Rama.
