Powerful as GeForce RTX 40 graphics cards are, their high levels of performance usually come at a sizeable cost. Thankfully, though, they aren’t immune to price drops. Case in point, Overclockers UK is slashing the prices of its Nvidia stock. There are plenty of deals for the taking, so let me help you sort through them to find the best bang for your buck.

With so much to choose from, it can be difficult to find the best graphics card in the GeForce RTX 40 series for your system. Fret not, though, as I’ve spent countless hours benchmarking every SKU in the lineup. Nvidia hasn’t put out any outright bad eggs in its latest generation of pixel pushers, but some offer much better value than others.

Here’s a list of the best deals for each RTX 40 series graphics card:

I’ve omitted Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 and 4070 Ti from this list, as the remaining stock for those now discontinued cards isn’t priced competitively enough to be worth considering. Additionally, it’s important to note that the discounts described above are relative to that particular model’s RRP rather than the base price set by Nvidia. With these caveats out of the way, let’s talk recommendations.

Both GeForce RTX 4060 and GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB are solid options for 1080p gaming. Naturally, the latter card will perform better in games owing to its higher specifications. However, both only have 8GB of VRAM at their disposal. Given the £60 difference between the two deals above, I’d recommend stretching your budget to RTX 4060 Ti 8GB if possible. If you can’t, though, there’s no shame in settling for RTX 4060.

Between GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB and GeForce RTX 4070, the choice is clear. Despite its higher cost, RTX 4060 Ti 16GB doesn’t actually perform any better than its 8GB sibling. Instead, it merely offers a higher memory capacity but doesn’t arrive with boosted bandwidth. Meanwhile, RTX 4070 is a massive step up in terms of frame rates and can handle QHD gaming at a push too.

The remainder of the stack isn’t so close in price, so choosing between them is much easier. GeForce RTX 4070 Super is the card I feel most gamers should strive for, providing high value and performance. For context, this GPU trades blows with GeForce RTX 3090 out of the box and runs right past it with DLSS Frame Generation enabled.

For those seeking 4K thrills, you’ll wish to turn your eye to GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super and GeForce RTX 4080 Super. Both offer 16GB of VRAM and pack GPUs more than capable of running even the most demanding of games. When I think of running path tracing options in Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk 2077, these are the graphics cards I have in mind.

Rounding this off, we have GeForce RTX 4090. This absolute monster has been difficult to pin down at its MSRP for some time now. Thankfully, the massive £400 discount listed above does just that. Better still, in place of a cheaper cooler, you’re getting MSI’s premium Gaming X Trio. Speaking from experience, this particular model is cool in every sense of the word.

Regardless of which graphics card you choose, though, be sure to act fast. There’s no indication as to when Overclockers UK will end its promotional pricing, let alone how long stock will last.
