The vice president, Senator Kashim Shettima, weekend, commanded the Bauchi state governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for positioning the state on the path of rapid development through infrastructural revolution.
Senator Shettima made the commendation at the commissioning of the new Government House, Bauchi, that was reconstructed by the administration of Governor Mohammed.
He also appreciated the governor for his inclusive governance which assisted him to achieve successes in the area of delivery of dividends of democracy for the benefit of the state and its people.
The vice president said the reconstruction of the Bauchi Government House symbolises the commitment of the governor towards improving government’s services.
He said governors are in a better position to drive the nation’s economy, hence the need for them to lay solid foundation for the future of the country’s economy through infrastructure development.
Senator Shettima expressed gratitude to governors of the North east region for working collaboratively to address the under development facing the region.
Governor Mohammed stated that the reconstruction of the Bauchi Government House was part of his administration’s infrastructural revolution to ensure the advancement of the state.
