SilverStone puts four 12v-2×6 power connectors on its PSU

SilverStone has showcased two monster power supplies for desktop and workstation PCs.  Featuring multiple 12v-2×6 power connectors, they can run even the hungriest of machines.

SilverStone Hela 2500R Platinum

Delivering a ridiculous 2,500W of power, the Hela 2500R Platinum is, as its name implies, an 80 Plus certified unit. Though it offers quadruple the energy needed for a high-end gaming machine, SilverStone managed to keep its size under control. To be exact, the Hela 2500R is only 200mm deep, putting its power density at 1,032W per litre. For reference, this marks a big uptick over the 882W/L of the existing flagship, Hela 2050R. This also means it should fit inside most enthusiast chassis. Impressive.

This one clearly targets the ultra-enthusiast market, where multi-GPU builds are nothing special. In fact, this model carries no less than four 12v-2×6 power connectors, each delivering 600W to the best graphics cards. This is the highest number of 12v-2×6 connectors I’ve ever seen on a single PSU. So, feel free to throw a few RTX 4090s its way.

The remaining power can be diverted through the heap of connectors filling its side, among which we find seven 8-pin headers for PCIe and CPU power. On the subject of power, looking at the total DC output on this unit, I assume it will require a 240V AC outlet. So, keep that in mind if you fancy getting one.

SilverStone Zeus 1650R Titanium

Leaving the previous monster inside its Faraday cage, we have something more reasonable and probably more wallet-friendly: Zeus 1650R. This 1,650W PSU boasts the highest 80 Plus Titanium efficiency certification, indicating that it can transform 96% of its input power into DC at 50% load.

Perfect for those running a high-end multi-GPU setup or Threadripper workstation, Zeus 1650R has enough power and connectors to feed your machine. While not as outlandish as the Hela 2500R, you still get two 12v-2×6 connectors, plus eight 8-pin for PCIe and CPU power. Moreover, this one is only 180mm deep and should run on 120v AC outlets, assuming the internal components support that.

While we don’t have an exact release date or price, SilverStone expects to launch these models soon.
