This week SK hynix launched its first Portable SSD In the form of SK hynix Beetle X31 Designed specifically for consumers. As the company’s first portable SSD, the X31 was lauded for its superior performance, convenient portability, and sleek design after its launch in South Korea in May 2023.

Compatible with a wide range of devices from PCs, Macs, tablets, Android smartphones and game consoles. An SSD is available in 512GB or 1TB of storage, and the X31 comes standard with two USB cables (USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A) and a bumper bag.

At these speeds, a 1GB file can be transferred in just 1 second. More specifically, the X31 is capable of transferring 500GB of data while maintaining an optimal speed of over 900MB/s. This is because the X31 strikes a balance between managing the heat generated by fast data traffic and maximizing write speeds. “
