1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has wowed fans with her tremendous weight loss after shedding 440 pounds.
The TV star, 37, famously lost weight after undergoing bariatric surgery, a procedure used to manage obesity long-term.
Tammy’s image has now been totally transformed, with her far slimmer physique highlighted as she posed for a snap wearing a swimsuit.
Showing off her shrinking frame, she appeared on social media following a swim with her psychic medium pal, Haley Michelle.
While Haley wore a black and white one-piece, Tammy sat poolside in a printed blue mermaid-esque suit.
She and her friend dangled their feet in the water, smiling at one another.
Haley penned in her caption: ‘Proud of you 💙’
Taking to the comments, fans were blown away by Tammy’s image overhaul.
‘Look at you, girl! That is a JOURNEY 🔥’, commented juan_buchelli.
‘Holy wow! The transformation is incredible! So happy to see how far you have come I may have cried a little’, wrote parrotbooty95.
‘You look amazing Tammy I’m so proud of you😍😍😍😍’, added miss__delishhh.
Echoing the praise, fierylittleninja commented: ‘You got to swim! So happy for you! I know how much you love to do it so that’s so great to see’.
Tammy’s weight loss journey has been documented on her TLC programme over the past year.
She was previously told by doctors that she needed to lose 200 pounds to be eligible for weight loss surgery.
Tammy used to weigh upwards of 725 pounds.
Having committed to becoming healthier, the star has since been spotted out and about without assistance, whether it be oxygen support or a walker.
Tammy later told People how grateful she felt to be alive after being placed in a medically induced coma.
In summer 2023, she assured the outlet that she was ‘feeling great’ and ‘thankful to be alive’ having required a ventilator to stabilise her before.
She added that the near-death experience in early 2022 forced her to ‘wise up’. and pursue weight loss to have her operation.
‘I was able to make my lungs strong enough to get my trach [tracheostomy tube for breathing] out,’ the TLC personality said.
‘And then recently the doctor cleared me to be off my oxygen machine during the daytime.’
‘Now I only wear my oxygen at night, along with my BiPap [bilevel positive airway pressure] machine,’ she added.
‘I monitor my oxygen levels throughout the day and keep my machine on hand in case I need it.’
Tammy qualified for weight loss surgery during season 4 of 100-Lb Sisters, by which point she dropped to 535 pounds.
She’s had the full support of fans all the way, with her surgeon, Dr Eric Smith, also gushing about his pride having helped to give her a new lease of life.
Meanwhile, in Tammy’s personal life, during recovery from her op, she met her late husband, Caleb Willingham, while attending a food rehab centre.
The pair got engaged in October 2022 following a whirlwind romance and married one month later in an intimate ceremony.
Sadly, he died earlier last year at the age of 40.
