Upsetting times are ahead for Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) in Emmerdale as she deals with the consequences of her actions.
After weeks of waiting, viewers of the ITV soap will finally see Rhona learn what her future holds after kidnapping her biological (but not legal) daughter Ivy in a moment of madness.
Rhona’s life has been up in the air ever since she took off with the baby when ex-husband Gus Malcolms (Alan McKenna) returned to claim her.
Since then, he’s made her life hell.
Telling all sorts of lies in a bid to get her to plead guilty so that he could have Ivy all to himself, he tried to convince her that he’d cancel the sale of his house and they would move forwards co-parenting if she just made a guilty plea.
The terrible truth Rhona learned was that he’d already sold the house and was planning on a flit to France as soon as Rhona received her sentence.
Thankfully, she remained resolute anyway and did not make the plea – she does not see herself as a criminal and she sees Ivy as her daughter. Now is the time she’ll learn whether that was a sensible move or not.
A spoiler video has now revealed her concerns ahead of the trial.
As she sits in the cafe with husband Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock), she shows regret at dragging her family and friends into the ordeal.
When best friend Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) arrives, she says she’s been going over her story so she can assure her pal’s freedom.
In a surprise twist, Rhona, having accepted she was in the wrong for darting off, tells her just to tell the truth.
Will she be send down?
