More than 20 years ago in 2003, the young Thomas Brodie-Sangster made people around the world believe in the power of love as young Sam in the iconic rom-com Love Actually.

Now, at the age of 34, the actor has tied the knot himself, marrying fellow actor Talulah Riley, 38.

While we have of course seen Thomas grow up on our screens over the years – starring in films and TV shows including Game of Thrones, Nanny McPhee, The Queen’s Gambit and Maze Runner – many of us will always remember him the most as hopeless romantic Sam.

Talulah has similarly been in a variety of huge titles, including St Trinians, Inception, Pride and Prejudice and The Boat That Rocked.

And now, these two icons of British cinema have found love with each other, marrying in a stunning ceremony at St George’s Church in Anstey, Herts.

The couple are believed to have met when they starred together in the 2022 biographical series Pistol, with Thomas playing Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren and Talulah depicting fashion legend Vivienne Westwood.

At their big day, the bride wore a beautiful gown with strappy sleeves, what looked like a corseted bodice and an A-line skirt, while the groom wore a blue jacket with a floral-patterned waistcoat and pinstriped trousers.

In the pictures obtained by The Sun, they looked overjoyed, beaming as they left the church walking beside one another with confetti showering down on them and as they sat inside a carriage.

Following his child star fame, Thomas joined fantasy series Game of Thrones as Jojen Reed (Picture: HBO)

Talulah was previously married to Tesla CEO and X chair Elon Musk, with the former couple marrying twice before their second divorce was finalised in 2016.

In July last year, Thomas announced his engagement to Talulah in the sweetest way possible, by quoting Love Actually on Instagram.

Referencing a line said by Hugh Grant’s Prime Minister David, he wrote: ‘Happy to announce that Talulah and I are engaged. Love is all around X.’

The accompanying photo showed him taking up the position of a punter as Talulah sat leisurely in a boat, subtly showing off her dazzling engagement ring.

Fans of the couple have congratulated them on their nuptials on their old engagement post, with one comment from an Instagram user called Ava reading: ‘Congratulations on ur wedding to both of u.’

‘CONGRATS ON UR WEDDING 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤️,’ Tia added, while Juno wrote: ‘I am so happy to see pictures you and your beautiful wife on your gorgeous day and I hope that you guys continue to live a life full of joy and happiness ✨✨🎉✨✨.’
