In what some are calling the ‘TV moment of the year,’ viewers of The Repair Shop were left in tears as 12-year-old Colin was emotionally reunited with his cherished cat toy, Jess.
Colin, who was born with multiple serious health conditions, has endured countless hospital visits throughout his young life, always finding comfort in his beloved cuddly cat, Jess.
However, Jess had also seen better days. The toy had been by Colin’s side through every challenge, bearing its own ‘battle scars,’ including tracheotomy and stoma incisions that mirrored Colin’s own medical experiences.
Jess was in desperate need of repair, and Colin’s adoptive family turned to the experts at The Repair Shop to restore the beloved toy.
Specialists Amanda Middleditch and Julie Tatchell took on the task of giving Jess a much-needed makeover.
But what followed exceeded everyone’s expectations. When Colin saw Jess, restored to its former glory, he burst into tears of joy, sobbing as he clutched the cat close to his chest.
His reaction moved everyone in the room to tears, including Middleditch and Tatchell, who couldn’t help but share in the emotional moment.
Viewers across the nation were equally moved.
X was flooded with heartfelt reactions from fans who couldn’t contain their emotions.
