There’s no hangover a Spoons brekkie can’t fix. And now everyone’s fave cheap and cheerful pub is making the hangover cure even cheaper.

Spoons knows an English breakfast is unmatched, particularly after a day of drinking.

And now, customers at Wetherspoon’s pubs in London will now be able to enjoy breakfast for just £2.99.

‌Since 5th June, 78 Spoons in London introduced four breakfasts at low price.

For £2.99 you can opt for either a small breakfast (a fried egg, bacon, Lincolnshire sausage, baked beans, hash brown), or the small vegetarian equivalent (fried egg, vegan sausage, baked beans, hash brown, tomato).

There’s even a vegan option, which includes two vegan sausages, baked beans, two hash browns, mushroom, tomato, slice of toast, vegan spread.

Anyone without a dietary preference can also revel in a freedom breakfast (two fried eggs, bacon, baked beans, two hash browns, mushroom, tomato).

For an even cheaper deal, customers can enjoy tea and toast (includes tea, coffee or hot chocolate with free refills) with two slices of toast with jam or marmalade, from £2.49 (with a drink) and £1.99 (without a drink).

Hungover or not, anyone can enjoy the offer while it lasts (Spoons hasn’t said if it’s for a limited only).

It’s a huge saving, given it usually costs £7.43 for a large breakfast, £5.75 for a traditional and £5.19 for a small (although prices vary between venues).

Wetherspoon founder and chairman Tim Martin said: ‘We believe that Londoners will welcome a great choice of breakfasts at value-for-money prices in our pubs.’

‌But just be mindful – the offer won’t be available everywhere and some places might charge a different price.

The news comes after commuters rejoiced at the announcement of a new Wetherspoons opening at Waterloo Station.

As well as the numerous shops, cafes, and restaurants, already on offer at the station, a brand new Wetherspoons pub is set to open, meaning you’ll be able to grab a cheeky pint after a long day at work before heading home.

The Lion and the Unicorn is set to open in The Sidings at Waterloo, with the popular pub chain investing a whopping £2.5 million into its development.

If you’re not into the Spoons hype, there’s also a little known cafe that gives the pub a run for its money.

Lounge cafes, of which there are more than 200 in the UK, is said to be ‘better than Spoons’.

For those that haven’t been to a Lounge, the menu includes burgers, flatbreads, salads, tapas, and main dishes like curry, beef brisket chilli, and steak frites. There’s also a brunch menu with classics like buttermilk pancakes and big breakfasts, as well as shakshuka and breakfast muffins.

The chain runs a variety of deals throughout the week, as well including a lunchtime deal with sandwiches and soup for £6.95, a teatime tipple deal with two cocktails for £12.75 at certain times, as well as Cheeky Mondays (a burger deal) and Tapas Tuesdays.

Spoiled for choice.
