EastEnders fans have been taken aback by the sheer amount of people living in The Queen Vic’s living quarters.

Now don’t get us wrong, the boozer is a pretty big building, but there are currently eleven people sleeping across four rooms.

That’s without the inclusion of Tyson the dog!

Earlier this week we saw Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) offer fiancé George Knight’s (Colin Salmon) estranged family a place to stay in Walford.

George hadn’t seen his son Junior (Micah Balfour) in years, and was shocked to come face to face with him at the underground boxing ring he’d been illegally fighting at.

In a further surprise, he then discovered Junior has a secret wife, Monique (Busayo Ige) and a son, Xavier (Chase Dean-Williams).

The shock is just the latest in a long line of misery for poor George, who has had a horrific year ever since finding out he was adopted as part of a baby farming agreement in the 60s.

Trying to find out more about his birth parents, he then learnt that his adoptive father Eddie (Christopher Fairbank) had murdered his birth dad Henry. At Eddie’s trial, his wife Gloria (Elizabeth Counsell) suffered a heart attack and died hours later.

The man needs a break.

Elsewhere in the household are his daughters Gina (Francesca Henry) and Anna (Molly Rainford), plus Elaine’s daughter Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).

Linda murdered Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) on Christmas Day when protecting her friend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), and after falling off the wagon again, her son Johnny (Charlie Suff) arrived in Walford to keep an eye on her.

Her youngest children, Ollie and Annie, are also Queen Vic residents.

The realisation that the pub is packed to the rafters has sent X/Twitter into a frenzy.

One EastEnders fan, Amy, wrote: ‘Can’t sleep because I can’t stop trying to work out how it can be possible for 11 people to be living upstairs in the Queen Vic in EastEnders.’

The post has gathered over 3,000 likes, and a number of responses, including one who was more concerned about the Slater clan, who live at 31 Albert Square.

‘The amount of people who live in the Slaters at any one time is insane and there’s a BABY aswell??’ they replied, mentioning the fact that Stacey, Jean, Harvey, Lily, Arthur, Hope and Charli are all squeezed into the five bedroom property.

Earlier this year, Kat and her sons Tommy, Bert and Ernie, plus Eve Unwin and girlfriend Suki Panesar were staying there.

‘Please never look into the geography of the Rovers Return’ added another user, possibly referencing the gigantic kitchen that suddenly appeared in April.

As with most soap operas, EastEnders and Coronation Street have very limited space for filming of interior scenes inside of the respective exterior buildings, so sets are constructed in studios instead.

This can often mean they appear slightly bigger on the inside than on the outside, and it’s giving us major Doctor Who vibes.
