Kim Tate (Claire King) was led to believe things were finally looking up for her family after receiving some good news in Friday’s Emmerdale – unaware of husband Will Taylor’s (Dean Andrews) dastardly revenge plot

The latest episode of the ITV soap saw Dawn and Billy Fletcher (Olivia Bromley and Jay Kontzle) decide to move back into Home Farm with Kim and Will after their sick son Evan was discharged from hospital.

The youngster, who has leukaemia, has had another spell in hospital in recent weeks, but his parents received the news his white blood cell count had improved and he could now continue to be treated as an outpatient.

Dawn and Billy had previously been at odds over whether to move back in with her dad and stepmum, but as they celebrated Evan’s prognosis, Billy relented and apologised for his recent behaviour.

Back at Home Farm, the couple toasted Evan’s health with Kim and Will, confirming they would like to move back into the manor house.

Kim was overjoyed at the news and raised a toast to her family, remarking how things were starting ‘to look up’ in the lead-up to Christmas.

Little does she realise, however, that Will is planning to wreak his revenge on Kim when they renew their wedding vows on Christmas Day.

They were torn apart earlier this year when Kim found out Will had cheated on her with his ex-wife Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco), and she tormented him by making him think he had a secret blackmailer.

After later reuniting, Will has actually been plotting to bring Kim down once and for all…

During an appearance on This Morning earlier this week, Claire teased a huge twist ahead in the storyline, telling hosts Dermot O’Leary and Josie Gibson: ‘It’s been a little bit hard because of the subject matter but I can’t go into that.

‘I’m desperate to tell you but I’d be shot!’ she laughed.

Emmerdale continues on Monday at 7.30pm on ITV1 or stream first on ITVX.
