Jennifer Garner once wisely said nothing looks better in your fifties than sunscreen in your twenties.
And whilst the UK sunshine may be as consistent as we are with our gym membership, SPF is a must-have all year round as it helps to prevent sunburns, skin cancer and premature ageing. Which, considering our skincare was once a simple cucumber face wipe and sheer hope, is worth taking note of.
Shiseido is a brand with 150 years of experience but their new range of sunscreen has truly blown customers away and set the standard for a new era of protection in 2024.
The new range features SynchroShieldRepair, which forms a protective shield over the skin and fights harder against harsh UV rays. It also stops factors such as water, the sea and sweat from compromising the sunscreen’s ability and forcing you to reapply every ten minutes.
The innovative new sunscreen works due to an impressive trio of technologies. Wet Force Technology strengthens sun protection when you come into contact with water or sweat, whilst the Heat Force Technology works harder in hotter climates.
But best of all, the AutoRepair Technology repairs against rubbing and friction. Yes guys, that means you can avoid sunburn and premature aging even if your thighs do decide to unite as one in the sweaty summer months.

Also, this clever new range is formulated using 66% of skincare ingredients. So not only does it protect the skin, but it also boosts hydration and provides the perfect glowy base.
Among the ingredients is a seaweed complex combined with Licorice Root extract, which sounds like a hipster new cocktail but is brilliant for soothing irritated skin.
The reviews all insist that it won’t leave a thick white cast on the face and won’t clog pores and cause you to break out.
‘A brilliant sun cream for both face and body,’ Jennie said in her review. ‘It’s a really creamy texture and glides on. It absorbs and doesn’t leave that white shiny glow like others do.’
‘Oh my!’ Rebecca exclaimed in her feedback. ‘I used this yesterday and my skin felt and looked amazing after use and lasted all day! It was a gorgeous sunny day yesterday and knowing my face is protected I was so happy. I’ve used it again today and will continue to do so. I love it!’
‘high protection and no need to buy another one for my body, which I really like’ Luana praised. ‘Very quick absorbing and not oily at all. I love it and lovely smell’.
It is a little pricier than some of the sunscreens on the market but with little need to constantly reapply, you certainly get WAY more bang for your buck.
