Titilope Agbede Emerges Ekiti Assembly Clerk


The Ekiti State House of Assembly on Monday appointed Mrs Titilope Agbede as the Clerk of the legislative arm of government.

The Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr Adeoye Aribasoye, gave a nod to the appointment of Agbede noting that she will take over from Assembly’s Deputy Clerk, Opeyemi Ajibola, who has been acting since May 2024.

The Assembly Speaker through in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Babjide Agbeyo, in Ado-Ekiti noted that the appointment is as a result of a thorough screening process and in line with Section 9(1) of the Ekiti State House of Assembly Commission Law, 2022.

The new clerk, whose appointment is subject to confirmation by the House, hails from Ikole Local Government Area of the state.

She was the Deputy Clerk (Legislative Matters) before her new appointment.
