The title of Tony and Ziva’s upcoming NCIS spinoff has been revealed by stars and executive producers Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo. The long-running procedural drama, which is one of the most popular franchises produced by CBS Studios, will continue in several forms. Following the announcement that original star Mark Harmon would return to narrate and executive produce a Gibbs-focused prequel called NCIS: Origins for CBS, it was reported in February Weatherly and de Pablo are reprising their respective fan-favorite roles as Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David for a Paramount+ series.
On Instagram, Weatherly and de Pablo have now revealed that the spinoff will be titled NCIS: Tony & Ziva.
After initially teasing that the spinoff could be titled NCIS: Europe, which was initially reported, or even NCIS: Trust No One, the actors debut the official name and share that filming will begin this summer.

In the upcoming Paramount+ spinoff, Tony and Ziva have been raising their daughter, Tali, together. But when Tony’s security company is attacked, the couple find themselves on the run in Europe.
Weatherly and De Pablo are on course to share the screen for the first time in a decade, returning to their popular NCIS roles. Consisting of ten episodes, The Magicians showrunner and Trumbo writer John McNamara will pen the script. Weatherly, De Pablo, and McNamara are all also executive producers.
After Ziva’s supposed death in the main NCIS show, Tony left the team to raise their daughter. Years later, however, Ziva is discovered alive. This leads her to complete one final mission before she’s reunited with Tony and their daughter in Paris. In the upcoming Paramount+ spinoff, Tony and Ziva have been raising their daughter, Tali, together. But when Tony’s security company is attacked, the couple find themselves on the run in Europe. They try to fight out the culprit, learning to trust each other again in hopes of finally getting their happy ending.

Why Cote De Pablo Left NCIS (& Returned 6 Years Later)
NCIS, with many spinoffs and 20 seasons and counting, has seen actors leave on multiple occasions. But Cote de Pablo’s exit and return impacted fans.
While there are more evocative names for the spinoff, the Tony and Ziva spinoff title drives home the biggest draw of the NCIS series which is the two leading characters themselves. Although many more details have yet to be revealed, it seems that the latest series from an established franchise may focus on relationship dynamics rather than just solving the case. After everything Ziva and Tony’s characters have been through, it’s an understandable approach to the story.
