Rikishi has urged his son Jey Uso to consider ‘taking a break’ until WWE ‘know where to put’ him on Raw.

The Hall of Famer, whose sons Jey, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa are all part of the professional wrestling giant’s stacked roster, has weighed in on his boy’s current status in the company.

Kishi, known by a whole generation of fans for his dance moves and infamous Stink Face, hit out at the way Jey has missed out on championship opportunities.

He also criticised hits of an on-screen romance between the former tag team champion and Rhea Ripley following her breakup from Dominik Mysterio and the Judgment Day.

‘Once the Money in the Bank thing didn’t go through, I thought, let’s see what they do now. Maybe they will give him a shot. Maybe they’ll set him up for the I don’t know, the Intercontinental belt,’ he said on his Off The Top podcast.

‘I think he deserves a shot to [at] the World Championship. I’m at this point where I want to call my son, “Go ahead and take a break.

‘”Obviously, the writers don’t know where to put you, or they can write something that is right for the character Jey Uso, The Yeet Man.” ‘

The former Too Cool member pointed to how WWE ‘is making money off the Yeet Man’, insisted his son Jey is ‘working for his money’ week in week out.

‘You see it every week. There is new merchandise of Yeet coming out….. The Yeet Man is out doing personal appearances. I mean, it’s not because he has to. It’s because that’s the demand of the fans,’ he added.

He continued: ‘Of all the characters they picked, they picked The Yeet Man. So what I’m saying is, make no mistake about it. I am not in favoritism of my son. I’m speaking about what is happening because this could be any other wrestler.

‘What is the case? Why aren’t you lighting this kid up and just letting him do his thing? I appreciate everybody… Let’s hope WWE gets it together and does the right thing.’

Jey is one of WWE’s most popular and highlighted stars, but Rikishi has suggested it could even be wise to look elsewhere if things don’t improve, in his eyes.

‘The kid is so good, WWE ain’t the only spot. He could probably go to AEW if he wants to write his own ticket, maybe more than what WWE is making on him,’ he pondered. ‘Hopefully, they turn it around and do the right thing by The Yeet Man.’

Jey’s most recent Raw match saw him beat Carlito on July 29, while he hasn’t lost on screen since the Money In The Bank Ladder Match on July 6.

Before that, his only other high profile losses on television were in May against the likes of now-World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER, and then-champ Damian Priest.
