Paramount ruler and President of Benue State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM Tor Tiv, Professor James Ayatse, Monday appealed to those planning national protests to suspend their plans and allow seamless implementation of measures to address the discontent in the land.
The Tor Tiv in a statement signed by his special assistant on Media and ICT, Freddie Adamgbe, noted that the suspension of the protest will allow government to critically observe the demands by the planners and work out solution for it.
The Tor Tiv equally noted that if the peaceful national protest is suspended, it may deny the enemies of the country the opportunity to possibly hijack the protest to achieve their sinister goals.
He acknowledged the suffering in the land and said, “I appreciate and identify with the feelings of the people at a time like this.”
