Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank is joining the list of stars that have appeared in two iconic soaps during their career.

The Billy Mayhew actor shared a before and after snap of him pointing at his 24-year-old self on the Dales.

‘Today Ivan Jones entered #ClassicEmmerdale… I’m now officially running in two amazing shows on @itv.

‘Here’s me at 24 & 44…’

Dan’s post was met with support from his beloved fans with @dawnevans1560 replying: ‘You’re still handsome as well as clever being in two shows at the same time lol.’

@olilee86 added: ‘This is how I’ll always think of you buddy lol 😂 the Geordie bin man.’

The soap star started acting professionally when he was just 14 years old, and one of his earliest parts was as Ralph in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of Lord of the Flies in 1995.

One of his first major roles was that of Young Merlin in the 1998 limited series Merlin, which starred Sam Neil as the titular character.

Impressively, in 1999 Daniel won a Screen Actors Guild Award for his portrayal of Sam Gosse in the blockbuster Shakespeare in Love.

Daniel’s character Billy has been at the centre of a huge storyline in Corrie in recent weeks, with his onscreen partner Paul being diagnosed with motor neurone disease.

After recently singing karaoke with Billy in the pub, Paul watched a video of their performance and couldn’t believe how different he sounded.

In the flat, the new milestone started to overwhelm Paul. He struggled with the fact his motor neurone disease will eventually leave him unable to talk completely so Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell), wanting to help, suggested it might be a nice idea to update the device he will use when he’s unable to communicate on his own.
