When it comes to iconic movie stars, there are few as legendary as Brad Pitt and George Clooney – and now they’re reunited on screen in the new film Wolfs.
The pair are starring in Jon Watts’ highly anticipated comedy-thriller coming in September.
This marks their first on-screen collaboration since the Coen Brothers’ Burn After Reading 16 years ago, adding to their iconic team-ups in the Ocean’s Eleven trilogy.
Wolfs sees Clooney and Pitt as solitary crime scene fixers who are unexpectedly forced to collaborate when they are both called to clean up the same mess.
This film represents a return to more grounded storytelling for Watts, following his blockbuster success directing the Spider-Man trilogy (Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home).
The new movie is an original studio picture led by bona fide movie stars, rather than an adaptation of pre-existing material or another superhero film, offering audiences a refreshingly classic cinema experience.
Watts, who first gained attention with the Kevin Bacon-led Cop Car, brings his considerable directorial prowess to this project.
Alongside Clooney and Pitt, the cast includes Amy Ryan and Austin Abrams, adding further depth to a plot that spirals into chaos as the night progresses.
The trailer for Wolfs has already generated significant buzz, and the film is set to hit cinemas on 20 September, with a subsequent release on Apple TV+.
In addition to Wolfs, Watts has a busy year ahead, as he prepares to launch his Star Wars series Skeleton Crew, co-created with Christopher Ford, on Disney+ before year’s end.
Can Wolfs turn the star power of Clooney and Pitt into box office gold? Fans will find out this September.
