The draw for the group stage of the 2023–24 UEFA Champions League was conducted on Thursday in Monaco, setting up the annual tournament to last until June 2024.
Group stage heavyweights include Bayern Munich and Manchester United in Group A, Real Madrid and Napoli in Group C, and what appears to be a “Group of Death” featuring Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, and Newcastle United.
Manchester City, the defending champion, was assigned to Group G alongside RB Leipzig, Red Star Belgrade, and BSC Young Boys.
The top two teams in each group advance to the quarterfinal stage, while the third-place teams enter the Europa League as one of the final 32 teams.
The first round of group matches will be played on September 19–20, 2024, and the knockout stage will commence in April 2024, with the final scheduled for June 1 at London’s Wembley Stadium.
