CBS’ crime drama show Tracker is heading into its second season, slated to premiere on October 13, 2024. With most of Tracker‘s season 1 cast returning, new intriguing storylines, and higher stakes, Tracker season 2 is shaping up to be an even better story following a successful first season. Although Tracker season 1 aired just a few months before its second season, it only consisted of 13 episodes, premiering in the second half of the typical network TV year. This factor makes Tracker season 2 premiering in 2024—the same year as its first season—plausible.
Tracker season 2 will also bring new exciting changes. The announcement of Robin Weigert not returning for Tracker season 2, leading to Teddi and Velma’s inevitable separation, suggests that the narrative will shake up some established dynamics. Jensen Ackles, who portrays Russell Shaw, will reunite in season 2 with Justin Hartley’s Colter Shaw, an anticipated reunion since they shared the screen in season 1, especially since Ashton Shaw’s death has not yet been resolved. Given the excitement leading up to Tracker season 2’s premiere, it is critical to know the show’s premiere time.

What To Expect From Tracker Season 2’s Premiere
Colter Shaw’s Investigation Will Lead Him To Organized Crime
Tracker season 2, episode 1, “Out of the Past,” will waste no time as Colter Shaw dives into an investigation that leads to organized crime. Colter investigates a missing family from an abandoned car, which will unravel dark secrets from the mother’s past involving organized crime. Tracker has yet to solve Ashton Shaw’s death, and it is unknown whether Tracker season 2 will immediately dive into that mystery by connecting it to Colter’s new case or if the show will slowly build up to it. Regardless, it will be an exciting premiere immediately plunging back into Colter’s world.
