The actor, 35, has replaced former host Sara Pascoe, 42, who departed the programme after the birth of her second son.
Kiell’s new role was announced on the Sewing Bee’s official X page last year in a post that read: ‘We’re bursting at the seams that Kiell Smith-Bynoe has stepped in to host this year’s Christmas Special and Series 10.’
Alongside a selfie of Kiell with judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young, the statement added: ‘(Sending lots of love to Sara and her new baby!) #SewingBee.’

He was cast in the series shortly after playing a gangster in a YouTube web series called Diary of a Bad Man.
Kiell’s first major recurring role was in cult Channel 4 estate agent comedy Stath Lets Flats.
However, he is best known for playing Mike Cooper in the hit BBC show Ghosts, which ended last year, devastating fans.
Kiell’s other TV credits include Death in Paradise, Horrible Histories, Man Like Mobeen, Enterprice and Lilly Allen comedy Dreamland.
Outside of acting, he has appeared in several gameshows including Richard Osman’s House of Games and The Weakest Link.
Most recently, he was a contestant in Channel 4 series Taskmaster, which is presented by Alex Horne and Greg Davies.
Is Kiell Smith-Bynoe married or does he have a partner?
Kiell has never mentioned having a spouse, so he is not considered married.
