As Britain’s Got Talent marks its grand final on ITV tonight, one wildcard act will bag a free pass – and a second chance at winning the competition.

With the performers who have made it through to tonight’s grand final confirmed, the stage is set – so to speak – for the winner to be crowned by the show’s fans.

The ITV finalists are now in touching distance of that grand prize – a £250,000 jackpot and the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.

This year’s BGT has seen a variety of acts vying for first place; including rival magicians Jack Rhodes and Trixy and singers Innocent Masuku, Sydnie Christmas and Northants Sings Out.

Meanwhile, skipping enthusiasts Haribow battle it out against Taekwondo group Ssalubi, as comedian Alex Mitchell and impressionist Mike Woodhams attempt to capture the funny vote.

And, of course, there’s the wildcard – one previously eliminated act, brought back by popular demand, for a second chance at the prize. But who will be this year’s BGT wildcard?

Trickstars

Lucy Heath and her trained dog act, The Trickstars, were beaten by taekwondo troupe Ssaulabi in the vote-off last Monday – with judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruce Tonioli voting unanimously to send the martial artists through instead.

However, the choice proved to be a controversial one, with many fans suggesting that Lucy and her pups might have been saved if it had been down to the popular vote.

Could the BGT Wildcard bring Trickstars out of the doghouse and back into the fight for first place?

Stefan and Denise

North Staffordshire couple Denise Leigh and Sefan Adrusyschyn narrowly missed out on a place in the final, making it to the final three but ultimately losing out to Alex and Trixy.

Pianist Stefan and singer Denise, both registered blind, wowed the judges with their rendition of Climb Every Mountain from The Sound of Music.

The pair quickly emerged as favourites in the competition, but were eliminated in last night’s semi final.

But could the wildcard reverse their fortunes?

Juggling duo Messoudi Brothers impressed the audience – and a visibly hot-under-the-collar Amanda, but failed to qualify for the final.

You’d think the pair were a sure thing – having actually already appeared on the Royal Variety Performance in 2021, and tried their luck on the sixth season of Arabs Got Talent and America’s Got Talent in 2019.

As part of a group of Got Talent performers who travel the world entering multiple versions of the series, they have also appeared on the Italian, German, French, Spanish and Australian versions of the programme.

Could the BGT wildcard help them to reach the first place prize which has eluded them so many times before?

Ravi’s Dream Team

Ravi’s Dream Team Choir – so named for eight-year-old Ravi Adelekan, whose fundraising initiative inspired their musical journey to the BGT stage – were ultimately eliminated in a tense vote-off against Haribow.

With the judges split, the decision went back to the public vote – and led to Ravi’s Dream Team missing out on a spot in the final.

Blitzers

Britain’s Got Talent’s first ever K-Pop act, Blitzers caused outrage when they first auditioned after fans discovered that the group are already famous in South Korea – having reached top 10 in the charts with their first EP.

Regardless, the group – Jinwha, Juhan, Sya, Chris, Lutan and Wooju, aged between 19 and 22, shot to the semi finals, where they were ultimately eliminated on May 28.

They proved popular enough during their time that they could conceivably return with a wildcard up their sleeve.

Dancer Leightonjay Halliday reached the semi-final after impressing the judges with a dramatic performance involving some tough dance moves and a pool of water.

Following his audition, the audience and judges alike rose to their feet to give the youth, 23, a standing ovation.

Leightonjay may have failed to make it through to the final, but he may yet make a splash with a surprise wildcard.

Who will be the Britain’s Got Talent wildcard tonight? The winner ‘revealed’

According to a leaked ‘spoiler’ from the X account SUPER TV (superTV247), the wildcard act for tonight’s final will be none other than… Trickstars.

If true, then this means that Laura and her performing puppies will have a second chance at winning the competition.

But if not Trickstars, then who will the BGT widlcard be?
