Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mary Remmy Njoku has penned a note to late veteran actor Sam Loco Efe.

Taking to her Instagram page, she revealed that when she was an aspiring producer, she wanted to work with him so badly, even though he barely knew her. According to her, she dreamt of creating a show just to feature you as he was one of the most talented actors Nigeria has ever known.

She stated that as she reflects on her journey as a filmmaker, she celebrates his contribution to her life as a Creative and to Nollywood. Telling him to take his flowers, she added that his craft inspired a whole generation of filmmakers.

“Life is short.

When I was an aspiring Producer, I wanted to work with you so badly, even though you barely knew me. I dreamt of creating a show just to feature you. You were one of the most talented actors Nigeria has ever known and possibly ever will know.

Today, as I reflect on my journey as a filmmaker, I celebrate your contribution to my life as a creative and to Nollywood. Your craft inspired a whole generation of filmmakers.

Take your flowers and rest on, LEGEND of all time!”.

Last year, Mary penned a touching note to her late sister, Eucharia Remmy, as she recounted how she learnt of her death 12 years ago. Mary recounted all her achievements for the year to her late sister, stating that her death left an impossible void to fill.

Last month, she wrote another note to her after beating 170 successful Entrepreneurs from 48 countries at Harvard University to win the Harvard OPM64 Idol. Describing it as surreal, she questioned who knew their dream was valid and expressed how sad she was that she wasn’t alive to share the moment with her.

It is no longer news that the wife of Iroko boss, Jason Njoku, is furthering her education at the prestigious American University.

In 2023, Mary was ecstatic after being recognised by the prestigious American magazine Forbes as one of the 50 most influential women in Africa. Mary expressed gratitude to her husband as she noted how she was only a Mile2-born Nnsukka girl before becoming a power figure.
