A woman has been charged with the murder of another woman in Tower Hamlets.

Hope Rowe, 32, is due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court this morning. She has also been charged with possession of a bladed article.

Police were called at approximately 1.17am on September 15 to reports of a woman suffering stab injuries in a foyer of a block of flats in Duckett Street.

London Ambulance Service also attended but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said that although formal identification is yet to take place, they are confident that she is Charlotte Lawler, who was aged 31.

Next of kin have been informed and continue to be supported by specially trained officers.

A 37-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender was later released on bail.

A crime scene remains in place at the address and enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.
