“Your Type Is Rare, I Respect You” – Jigan Babaoja Tells AFRIMEK President Femi Adebayo Following Suspension

Nollywood actor Jigan Babaoja has paid respect to his senior colleague, Femi Adebayo, who also doubles as the Mayor of AFRIMEK.

Kemi Filani reported a week back that Jigan, alongside Adeniyi Johnson, was suspended from The African Men Entertainment Kings club for their gross misconduct and breach of the club’s constitution.

In a lengthy post on his Instagram page, Jigan acknowledged his actions as he stated that he understands that his actions have let them down, and he accepts responsibility for his mistake. However, he requested forgiveness from every one of them, and he also asked that his fans and family extend an apology on his behalf.

Jigan added that he is committed to making amends, seeking guidance, and rededicating himself to the principles of AFRIMEK and will strive to be a better example.

On Friday, he took to his Instagram page to share a photo of Femi Adebayo, who is the Mayor of AFRIMEK. He stated that Femi’s type is rare as he expressed how much he respects him.

“Leader! Your type is rare! Femi Adebayo salami I respect you @femiadebayosalami

Thank you, sir”.

In his comment section, Femi Adebayo appreciated him for the message.

“Thank you so much. I appreciate”.

Jigan wasn’t the only one suspended, as Adeniyi Johnson also bagged a suspension for gross misconduct and breach of the club’s constitution.

Reacting to the news, Johnson expressed sadness that his honorable club made such a derogatory post about him. He stated that though he wasn’t bigger than the club, there had been Adeniyi Johnson before the club and the post they made about him could cause harm. He noted how such a post was detrimental to his name, his family, and, most importantly, his brand.

In another post, Johnson appreciated Dele Odule as he praised him for being a father, teacher, mentor, listener, and leader.

Last year, AFRIMEK suspended Shoneye Olamilekan otherwise known as Papa Showw for physically assaulting his colleague, Temidayo Morkinyo. The club, in a letter signed by the Mayor, Femi Adebayo, distanced itself from the actor, stating that his actions do not represent the identity for which their club stands for and has been known to present. His shameful act had left the association sanctioning him and placing him on immediate suspension.

The actor in an interview with Biola Bayo, later tendered a heartfelt apology to her and promised never to repeat such.
